In 1979 German television made a film about skiing in the American west which included this piece about Gretl making her world-famous apple strudel,. People from South America to Hawaii to Mongolia knew Gretl. Princes, kings, movie stars and regular folk all loved Gretl, the joyful atmosphere of her restaurant on Aspen Mountain, her excellent fresh food daily and, of course, her famous apple strudel.
